Alford Auditorium and 3D Studio
Initially built as a church in 1853 and originally renovated for student use by the University in 1903, Alford Auditorium has served the University in several capacities, such as a gymnasium, chapel, and theatre. The building with its newer annex now functions as classrooms, 教师办公室, and theatre rehearsal space. Several student productions and senior theatre projects use this auditorium each year.
Completely renovated in 2013, the Alford 3D 设计 Studio houses generous workspace for all levels of sculpture, 陶瓷, 和版画. Significant investment from the University has created a top-of-the-line woodworking shop, materials and equipment for metal sculpture and welding, as well as tools for reductive stone carving. The 陶瓷 studio houses 15 potter’s wheels, as well as space and equipment for hand-built pottery, 玻璃, 和解雇. The printmaking studio houses equipment for relief, intaglio, and lithography processes.
Carnegie Center for the Visual Arts
The recently renovated Carnegie Center for the Visual Arts is the hub of the Studio Art program. The former historic Carnegie 图书馆 houses the Department of Art, 设计, and Theatre 办公室 as well as large, open studios for drawing, 绘画, 和设计. Individual studio space for upper-level studio art students is also housed in Carnegie.
The Carnegie Center retains much of its historic character, with large floor-to-ceiling windows wrapping around the main floor and flooding the drawing and 绘画 studios with natural light. Renovations on the lower level have added a fully networked 2D design studio, as well as a printmaking workshop.
DeVries剧院
The DeVries剧院 complex is located in the Stevens Student Center (SSC) and includes a 400-seat theatre, 运动的工作室, 化妆套件, scene design lab, 现场购物, 办公室, and dressing rooms. The theatre has a 36-foot by 18-foot proscenium arch, 38 lines with full fly space, and a Gala electronic lift system for the orchestra pit. Each year, the theatre hosts three main stage productions, campus film series, and numerous other events.

Located on the outside edge of campus, 耶利米大厅 serves as home to the studios for digital photography courses. Providing portrait and still photography labs with great lighting and plenty of space, 耶利米大厅's peaceful setting is ideal for working and creating without distractions. The still photography lab is available for documenting art work and setting up photo references for subjects.
Print Services is another valuable campus resource available to you. Graphic design students often send files to be printed, utilizing the facility's high-quality black-and-white, 四色, and large-format printers.
Tyler Digital Communication Center
Home to the graphic design program, Tyler Digital Communication Center houses three up-to-date, fully furnished Mac labs, as well as 教师办公室. Most graphic design classes meet in the Mac labs, giving students ample opportunities to learn the Mac operating system and the latest Adobe Creative 设计 Suite, the platforms of choice for most of today's designers. Students have access to these secured labs beyond class time, allowing for more time to create, 实验, and finish assignments.
